Ann Cole Husfeld went to heaven on Saturday, January 27, 2018. She was 91 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel “Pitt” Cole, Winnie Spencer Taylor, stepmother, Jeannette C. Cole, and by her husband of 50 years, Thorwald “Ted” Husfeld, a local attorney with Landis, Graham, & French Law Firm. Mrs. Husfeld was born in Oneida, Tennessee, moved to Lakeland, Florida at an early age and later to Orange City, Florida.
She is survived by her son Samuel Edward & Mary Husfeld of DeLand, FL, Martha Jane & Bill Bibby of Jacksonville, FL, sister Shirley Cole Cartman of Astor, FL, along with grandchildren, Ted Bibby, Billie Jo Husfeld, Dalton Husfeld, and great-grandchildren Breydon Shepherd and Noah Husfeld.
Ann was affiliated with many local organizations including the Blue Sage Circle of the DeLand Garden Club, Junior Service League, Trinity United Methodist Church, Brandywine Racquet Club, D.A.R. and the Colonial Dames. She enjoyed playing bridge, poker, watching westerns, and working in her yard. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund, 306 West Wisconsin Ave., DeLand, FL 32720.
The family will greet friends at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10:00am-11:00am with services beginning at 11:00am.
