Sandra Whitehead Ramroth, 50, of DeLand, FL passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL with her husband and parents by her side. Daughter of Pat Morris and Betty Sue Whitehead, Sandra was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 5, 1967. She had two older siblings, Jeff Rodney Whitehead (Kelly Hatfield) and Sharon Whitehead Howell (Steven). As the daughter of a Navy Veteran, Sandra moved around throughout childhood from Alabama to Georgia to Michigan to Louisiana to Texas. She graduated from South Grand Prairie High School.
Shortly after high school Sandra gave birth to her two eldest sons, William Luther Morning IV and Shane Joseph Morning. After moving to Alabama, Sandra met Ted Eric Ramroth to whom she was married for 22 years. Sandra gave birth to her youngest son Christopher Kyle Ramroth in Fayetteville, GA.
Sandra held a number of jobs throughout her life. She worked at both the Army and Navy Exchange, managed a bakery, and assisted transportation services for special needs children. After settling in DeLand, Florida, Sandra kept busy as a karate and band mom for Christopher. She was a loyal friend, daughter, and sister. Above all, Sandra was a devoted wife and mother. Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love. She will be remembered for her selflessness, compassion, quick wit, and strength, and will be missed by all of those fortunate enough to know her.
A greeting of the family by friends will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Lankford Funeral Home at 12p.m. A memorial service will follow immediately at 1p.m.
