Ozyleah B. Hubbard, 93, of Lake Helen, Fl passed away on September 24, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, of 54 years, Woodrow Hubbard, her parents; Daniel and Eula Brown, and her brother; Charles Kenneth Brown. She is survived by her daughter; Deborah Corbett of Lake Helen FL, grandson; Mark Corbett (Maria), great-granddaughter; Kayla Marie Corbett and one sister; Betty Jo Rance of DeLand, FL.
She was born in Lorreto, TN and moved to Florida when she was 8 years old. She was a graduate of DeLand High School and she married the love of her life March 13, 1943. She retired from the United States Postal Service after 39 years of service. Ozyleah was very talented. She loved to sew and crochet and she made all of her daughter’s clothes. She loved being outside and working in her yard, especially tending to her beautiful flowers. She was a member of Blake Memorial Baptist Church in Lake Helen, where she taught Sunday school and was the Secretary/Treasurer of her class, she also sang in the choir. She was also a member of Stetson Baptist Church in DeLand, FL
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2pm, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at DeLand Memorial Gardens in DeLand, FL. Rev. David Goodroe will officiate the service.
