Cheryl L. Lankford,  Licensed Funeral Director

Cheryl was born in DeLand, FL  and graduated from DeLand High School in 1973. She earned an AS degree in Mortuary Science from Miami Dade Community College in 1978. She has over 35 years in funeral home management and ownership experience ranging from Kraeer Funeral Homes in South Florida to her families own, Lankford Funeral Home, in DeLand, FL.

Cheryl has been serving the community of DeLand for over 30 years. She is a past president of the DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Cheryl is also past president of Independent Funeral Directors of Florida and is active in Tallahassee championing consumer awareness with regard to the rules and regulations that govern the funeral industry. At present, she serves as a member of the board of directors for John Knox Village. 

 Adam C. Hyde,  Licensed Funeral Director 

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Adam moved to Central Florida in 2001, to attend Southeastern University. He began his career in funeral service, in Kissimmee, FL, at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery and then relocated back to Birmingham, Alabama in 2014, to a small family owned firm as a Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director. He relocated back to Florida, with his family, in 2016, to join the staff at Lankford Funeral Home and Crematory. Adam holds Funeral Director and Embalmer Licenses' in Florida and Alabama and  is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He strives to truly see that each family served has an experience that is personalized and unique. He is also a member of the Association of Independent Funeral Director's of Florida.

He feels that a true Celebration Of Life is the epitome of funeral service. As a licensed embalmer, he specializes in restorative art and any and all aspects of  embalming to include giving a family the gift of a beautiful memory picture. He and Angela, his wife,  have been married 13 years. Angela is a kindergarten teacher in Volusia County and they have two children Hannah and Jackson.

Terry Lowe, Licensed Family Service Counselor

Terry has been involved in funeral service for over 10 years. She is a licensed Pre-Arrangment Sales Agent and is able to help families in their time of need or before. Her compassion and care for a families is easily seen as she meets with each family at Lankford Funeral Home. She can assist families in making pre-arrangments and creating tailor made pre-arrangements that will fulfill the wishes of a family. 

Debbie Entrekin, Office Manager

Debbie has lived in Volusia County for most of her life. She is a graduate of Mainland High School, in Daytona Beach, Florida.  She has 3 children and 8 grandchildren and came to Lankford Funeral Home from the Banking Industry. Her caring spirit and her ability to help families with, often the most difficult times their life is essential. We are truly honored to have Debbie on our staff at Lankford Funeral Home. 


Joanna Moyer- Administrator/Bookkeeper

Formerly from Monroe Connecticut, she attended Sacred Heart University and St. Vincent's School of Nursing. After moving to Florida she changed career paths and worked as a Manager of a Bank for over 20 years, receiving various degrees in Banking. She retired in 2010 and now works part time at Lankford Funeral Home as the Bookkeeper and Office Administrator.  She has been married 37 and enjoys fishing, crafts, and gardening. Her mission statement is "To Treat and See People as you would want Them to Treat and See Me."


Dave Aldrich, Funeral Home Associate

Dave is originally from Michigan and is a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He is a Michigan Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He currently resides in DeLand, Florida. Dave has two children and four grandchildren. He enjoys traveling and seeing the USA.

Richard Bailey, Funeral Home Associate

Richard has been with Lankford Funeral Home for over ten years. He is originally from Ohio. He is a retired Plant Manager. He is a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in DeLand, Fl. and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard always goes above and beyond and is a friendly face to see here at Lankford Funeral Home. 

‚ÄčJimmy Lawerence, Funeral Home Associate

Jimmy was born and raised in DeLand, Fl.  He is a graduate of Deland High School and the University of Florida. He has been with Lankford Funeral Home for over three years. He and his wife are members of First United Methodist Church in DeLand. Jimmy is an essential part of our staff and he always is there to greet families and see that they are taken care of whenever they walk into the funeral home. Jimmy also volunteers at Florida Hospital in DeLand. Our funeral home is grateful to have Jimmy as a part of our staff. Jimmy enjoys traveling with his wife and grandchildren all over the United States in their RV. 

Raines Freeman, Funeral Home Associate

Dave joined the staff of Lankford Funeral Home in 2017. He is a retired police officer. He is married and has two sons. We are glad to have Dave on our team at Lankford Funeral Home.
